    Overview

    The Sales Analyst/Planner will report to the CEO and support the Global Sales team. This position will be responsible for supporting Sales in managing forecasting, on hand inventory, and sales analyses to help provide insight on potential sales opportunities and risks.  The Sales Analyst/Planner should be a highly motivated, ambitious, and analytical individual who is able to be both customer facing as well as detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  This individual should have a tenacious work ethic with the ability to proactively contribute to an entrepreneurial environment.  The Sales Analyst / Planner will be responsible for forecasting and managing sales plans for all major accounts in addition to executing inventory allocations against sales orders and ensuring that inventory is used efficiently to support the company’s sales growth plans.

    Responsibilities

    • Work collaboratively to develop monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts for all major accounts as well as regular weekly updates on plans vs. forecasts for Senior Management
    • Work continuously with the internal Operations team to ensure full optimization of planning and forecasting processes
    • Analyze sell-in and sell-through data to provide insight on potential sales opportunities and risks
    • Collaborate with the Planners at all major accounts to manage assortment changes, customer on hand inventory and changes to sales orders
    • Collaborate with the Planners at all major accounts to manage order flows with inventory availability
    • Collaborate with the Planners at all major accounts to translate promotional activities, new product sets, and in-store programs with sales plans
    • Implement and execute critical KPIs and analyze product performance at retail by major account, door, and SKUs
    • Assist with scheduling meetings for major accounts, as applicable
    • Assist and potentially attend trade shows, as needed
    • Manage in house independent domestic retailers with a focus on driving revenue growth
    • Assist with lead outreach for domestic adventure retailers to expand brand presence and maximize new sales opportunities

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year accredited college or university in a related field
    • 2-5 years of experience in Demand Planning or Retail Planning
    • Experience with the Consumer Packaged Goods industry preferred
    • Demonstrates the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with a strong sense of urgency to solve multiple and critical issues
    • Demonstrates good judgment in escalating potential risks proactively
    • Exhibits the ability to communicate and present complex information through data, clearly and concisely, across all levels of management
    • Works effectively with cross-functional teams while displaying high energy and a team oriented approach
    • Displays strong analytical skills, specifically within MS Excel to include complex formulas, v-look ups, pivot tables and graphing
    • Displays proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
    • Demonstrates a high level of tact and discretion in handling confidential matters
    • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrates an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrates an understanding of processes and follows direction to align with team
    • Exhibits experience with ERP / Planning systems. NetSuite experience is a plus
