I bought this mostly for camping, but I've already used it around the house. The whole thing feels so comfortable in your hand. The light is great. The headlamp is just as bright. It's good when you need two hands, like when you set up a tent in the dark, and when you go to a camp ground restroom, your light never touches the floor. It charges quickly with USB. I haven't tried solar yet, but I have every confidence that it will work well because of how robust the whole unit feels. Reattching the headlamp to the part with the solar panel is so easy. There are strong magnets that guide you and it's also configured so that there is only one way it can all go together. This makes it very easy to put back together in the dark. Highly recommended!
