Conductor of Purpose at Gratitude Railroad, Eric Jacobsen is a veteran investor with particular expertise in the strategic growth of socially- and environmentally-conscious businesses. In addition to serving on The Builders Fund’s Investment Committee, Eric is a founding member of Dolphin Capital Group, which specializes in lower middle market companies in the western US.
Since 2004, he has served as Chairman of the Board at Winder Farms, an online grocery service that hand-delivers farm fresh, local organic produce, meat, dairy and prepared meals to customers in California, Nevada and Utah. Eric is also Chairman of the Board at Ragnar Relay Series, the largest long distance running relay series in the United States, in which teams race over the course of two days and one night, pushing their limits to raise money for a network of diverse charities.
Previously, Eric was a Co-founder of the Home Financial Network, an internet banking and bill payment software company that sold to what is now SAP in January 2000, and the VP of Sales and Marketing at MECA Software, credited with the creation of Managing Your Money and TaxCut, and sold to H&R Block in 1994. Eric is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard University’s Advanced Leadership Initiative.
