MPOWERD Partners with Operation Gratitude in Recognition of Military Appreciation Month

NEW YORK (May 24, 2018) MPOWERD, Inc. has partnered with Operation Gratitude to provide lights to U.S. Service Members in recognition of Military Appreciation Month this May. Beginning June 1st, MPOWERD will begin pre-sales of the Luci Americana, exclusively being sold through MPOWERD.com. For each Luci Americana sold, MPOWERD will donate one Luci EMRG to Operation Gratitude to be included in Care Packages sent directly to American Heroes across the country and around the globe.

The Luci Americana is a solar inflatable light that proudly shines red, white, and blue. This exclusive light is perfect for those backyard BBQs and pool-side gatherings during the summer holidays.

The Luci EMRG is an all-in-one, pocket-sized lantern, flashlight and emergency solar-powered light, perfect for use by service men and women. These reliable and compact lights are ideal as a regular everyday flashlight, and also during storms, blackouts, roadside trouble, or simply when needing a portable light in the field.

In 2012, MPOWERD created Luci®, the original inflatable solar light. Luci lights are affordable, clean energy products that people could use in any situation — from outdoor adventures, to backyard parties, to everyday living for people in developing countries without electricity.

“As a mission driven company, we applaud Operation Gratitude on their efforts to lift spirits and meet the evolving needs of the U.S. Military and First Responder communities,” said Seungah Jeong, CEO of MPOWERD.

John Salzinger, Co-Founder and CBDO of MPOWERD, adds, “Through the collaboration between the Private and NGO sectors, we can all make a difference. Our positive partnership with Operation Gratitude will empower consumers to be change-makers and participate in building community.”

Operation Gratitude’s mission is twofold: To lift spirits and meet the evolving needs of  the Military and First Responder communities; and to provide volunteer opportunities for American civilians to express appreciation to all who serve our nation. Since its inception in 2003, hundreds of thousands of Operation Gratitude Volunteers have filled, assembled, and shipped an average of 250,000+ Care Packages every year to Troops, Veterans, First Responders, New Recruits, Military Families, Wounded Heroes & their Caregivers.

"We’re thrilled to partner with MPOWERD Inc. to expand our support of Service Members, and our mission to give every American a way of expressing their appreciation to those who serve. This buy one, give one campaign provides a tangible way for a grateful nation to say ‘Thank You’’ to our nation’s Heroes,” said Kevin Schmiegel, Chief Executive Officer of Operation Gratitude. “Every day we see the impact of our Care Packages in the emails we receive from deployed Troops—with the addition of Luci lights, we aim to further brighten the lives of our men and women in uniform.”
