Get updates here as well as our social accounts with details of where the Luci lights will be available. From all of us at MPOWERD, please stay safe out there.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

There are many ways to join in, from donating to your nonprofit of choice, to volunteering on the ground or participating in Give Luci. Because they’re waterproof, solar, durable and float, Luci lights fulfill a specific need for those affected by natural disasters.

We’d like give a special thank you to all of the individuals who have reached out to us to volunteer their time, efforts and vessels to bring these lights to those in need!

UPDATE: Tuesday, October 10: Filmmaker / photographer Carlos Vargas and his team @manuelvelez_ and @piti_puaproductions picked up lights from our warehouse to take with them to Puerto Rico. Here is an update on their efforts:

"Today we set on a mission to distribute solar powered lights and groceries to remote communities in the mountains. Without energy, water, and cell service self proclaimed “Camp Forgotten” is a group of 23 families (mostly elder) stuck in an area where the main access bridge collapsed.

Three weeks after Hurricane Maria citizens without hope of the municipality fixing the bridge anytime soon, have been forced to cross the mighty Tanamá river to meet their basic needs.
Our brigade, powered by organized civilians with skills (regular people just like you and me) rigged a shopping cart to a fixed line across the river to bring food, clean water, a satélite phone, light, hugs, and hope.

Keep doing whatever you’re doing wherever you are to help Puerto Rico. Every effort, phone call, meeting, dollar, social media post, will help. Don’t question yourself, just do it! It will make a huge impact.

Huge thanks to everyone involved one way or another specially @mpowerdinc for bringing light to Camp Forgotten."

THANKS TO YOU

We are so grateful and humbled for the outpouring of offers of support we’ve received from fellow companies, nonprofits and groups of individuals to bring our Luci lights to those affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Katia, and Maria, the earthquake in Mexico, and the storms that have caused massive flooding throughout much of Southeast Asia.

The past month has brought with it an unprecedented barrage of natural disasters, displacing millions of families from their homes here in the US and around the world. We believe that in the face of global challenges, companies have a responsibility to step up and face them head on, participating in the recovery process and using our platform to connect one another. That’s why we reserve 10% of all Give Luci lights for natural disasters, and right now all lights purchased through the Give Luci program will go to those affected by the past month’s events.

By coordinating with both active search and rescue teams and those distributing disaster relief supplies, we’ve sent over 5,412 Luci lights so far, and thousands more are on the way. While the storms may be over, thousands are still without power, and every little bit helps.

GIVE LUCI - We reserve 10% of all Give Luci lights for natural disasters, and right now all lights purchased through the Give Luci program will go to those affected by the past month’s events.
